Damn! No Michiganders have been on here for awhile

I'll share some of my activity then I suppose... First and foremost, non aquarium related, I posted awhile back that I was saving up for a ring to ask my girlfriend to marry me... And around the beginning of November I asked, and she said yes Were gonna get married next October.

On an aquarium note... my 40 gallon breeder that I had set up looked like hell. So I made a new plan and I'm gonna go the route to set it up as a Crypt only tank. I love Crypts. Such an awesome and yet easy plant to grow.

Bought the heater for it the other day, as well as the black background.

Once I test the lights at the Belle Isle Aquarium, maybe we can work out some sort of loaner system. For the MI Peeps that are interested in PAR testing.

Let me know what you guys think.

P.S.

Congratulations Blackheart!

Stopped into some of the LFS around me and was hard to leave without getting something. I ended up getting some crypts and ludwigia at Stingray Bay.

I've been learning how to do stuff with my 2.5 gallon. My bowl is really taking off for me as well.

Congrats blackheart!

I'[m glad to see some posts in here again other than my own haha.

I've got some news too.

Non aquarium related, I also recently announced an engagement, that started in august ehehe hrmm.

Aquarium related FW collapsed 4 tanks, and built them into a nice new 30 gallon planted setup sorta kinda SA stocking. Blue rams, cories, Guppies, and a ton of snails.

Added some neons to a 15G
added 3 orange posos to my 55 community

and Aquarium news SW I have started to expand my saltwater from a 2 liter pico to a 5.5 Gallon, an hope to start stocking in january.

also other non-aquaria related, Got my fiancee' a 40 breeder to eventually house Leopard Geckos.

thanks everybody

Activity-wise not much goin on for me right now... ordered one more bag of eco complete from amazon for my 40 breeder. Not sure what to stock it with. I want do to cories though, and some kind of tight schooling tetras.

Was lookin around at Meijers tonight and came across "White Fin Rosy Tetras," which seemed pretty sweet. I think the actual correct name of them however is Rosy Tetras.

What kind of cories were you thinking?

Last week I seen Oceans and Seas had Pygmy cories.

Not sure yet! There's so many kinds... Plus, I'm like a cory.. virgin I guess.. Lol. I've never kept them before.

I did pick up 7 Silver Tip Tetras today from Petco. A lot of people don't like these kind of fish because they can be kind of aggressive apparently, but they seem to be just fine for me so far nice colors on 'em and they're pretty active.

I'd recommend starting with Albinos, or Green emeralds, they can be found for cheap, and are easy starter cories, as opposed to the lazers, panda, and Julii's which can run 9$ a piece.

Personally I like the appearance of Juliis, false julies, peppers and pandas, and I'm sure dozens of more cories as well. and as for the pygmy cories, I'd say unless doing a nano, just get ottos, since they look the same.

That last time I went to Petsmart they had $1 panda cories( which there is a chance for die offs so I advise use a quarantine tank. As for the Pygmies I get what your saying about having them for nano tanks but I have 20 Pygmies in my 55g and its pretty cool to watch them school across the tank.

I see the http://www.miapg.com site has a 404 error today. Is that a new thing or has it been a while? I was going to go check out the forum for any upcoming auctions and whatnot.
