syphon doseing?

Would running a airline syphon from a bottle of liquid fertilizers into a aquarium at 2-4 drips per hour work well ?

i dose 5ml of exell in my tank and read that 20 drops is 1 ml -or+a hair
so if i ran a syphon at 3-4 drops per hour would it work well or do you guys/galls see a issue with this ?

i've been tempted to try this with an IV drip. haven't pursued it any further though.
