Japanese Dwarf Rush

Hi everyone,

So I received an order of plants from liveaquaria today. In my shipment was what I believe to be a Japanese Dwarf Rush.

I wasn't sure what it was, but I threw it in the tank anyway. After a bit of research, I've come to find that it can't be grown completely submerged for extended periods of time.

My question is, how long can I leave it in the tank before it starts to deteriorate? Also, would putting it in a glass vase with some capped miracle grow and a few inches of water keep it alive?

Thanks!

there really is no telling how long it will last in a tank. each tank is different. you could put it in a vase as you say or if you use hob filters stick it in there. the roots will just be another filter and it should help it grow with all the fertalizer from the fish lol
