Low light 15g

Since I'm posting my other tanks, thought I would share this as well.
This is my first planted tank, I've been working on it for well over a year. It never quite turned into what I wanted it to, but it has been fun none the less.
I definitely feel that I have pushed the 15 watt light strip as far as it can go.

Tank looks really nice. Would you mind posting some more information about it(equipment, livestock, etc.)?

Thanks guys.

Lessee... 15 gallon "tall", Aquaclear 30 HOB filter, one bag of Eco-complete, modified strip light with 15 watt T6 bulb and homemade mylar reflector on for 12 hours daily.

The tank gets 2.5 ml Excel daily, and 1/32 tsp KNO3, KH2PO4, K2SO4, and CSM+B every week or two. Water changes only when I need to do maintenance, every few months.

Fauna:
1 Male Betta
1 Corydoras pygmaeus, down from 6
1 Parotocinclus sp.
Ramshorn snails, aka betta snacks

Flora:
Cryptocoryne wendtii, willisii 'lucens', beckettii 'petchii'
Valisneria sp.
Ludwigia palustris
Java fern "windelov"
Anubias nana, and nana "petite"
Hemianthus micranthemoides
Java moss
Red root floater
Amazon frogbit

The lighting is so low, I don't think the Excel actually does anything, but I'm too scared to stop using it
The plants grow at an extreme snails pace, and the stems will stop growing and die if shaded. When this tank is redone this winter, I will definitely add more light to make the tank more manageable to 'scape.

Oh the excel does pleanty. Actually any ferts you add do a great amount. In my 20gal low tech i have java fern and java moss. I had some hygro 'temple' but I ran out of ferts and figured I wouldnt need any so soon. Well a month and a half went by and now I am battling brown algae and some green carpet algae and all my hygro melted. I am at less than 1 wpg. An old 15watt bulb over a 20H.
Now I have flourish excel and I am dosing again, as well as removing algae manually. Only been doing this for a day now so we will see how that goes.

I am really surprised you are growing a Ludwigia under 1wpg as well as HM. I am very impressed too. I think I will try them in my 32gal (1.2wpg).

I think many plants can grow with less light than people expect, if the environment is stable and the plants are healthy to begin with.

It is always fun to throw some clippings into low light and see how they do.
