Discount will end Sunday night

Friendly heads up for those who have not got your orders in ...the discount code will expire sometime Sunday evening. Please do not ask for the discount to be extended.

For the many waiting to get their orders ...orders will be shipping by date of purchase. First in first out. No mail service on Veterans Day so they'll be packed on Monday and outbound to your aquariums on Tuesday if you're lucky!

Lowe - Thanks again for building this light for our planted tanks. Folks this is a great offer on a great light, if you're on the fence about LED lighting this is the time to climb over.

Default Par Spectrum Charts

Any chance of some par spectrum charts for the various lengths prior to Sunday night?

I'd jump on the bandwagon but would like to know what exactly I'm buying before I do.

Thanks.

In a nutshell, around one out of three LEDs that are on the fixture is a true red 660nm deep red.

So you are trading the power of the whites, for the spectrum of the reds. Reds are better for most plants(not required by all) to get their true color (as they would in the sun). It obviously changes the color of the light to a different "warmer" tone overall.

Since it is based off of the Ray II, it has lower PAR than it (again trading whites, for reds that just don't penetrate as far), and more PAR than the regular fugeray due to just having more LEDS.

Here is a #s sample for you:

24" size:
Fugeray - 24 Inches 112White 8Blue 3014(type) 12 Watts
Planted+ - 24 inches 88White 44Red 8Blue
Ray II(dual 7k) - 24 inches 192white 3014(type) 20 Watts

I don't know if the LED is a different type, as they didn't disclose that yet as far as I know.

I know they are trying to place the LEDs better, but by just looking at the numbers one might guess that it is fairly in the middle in terms of strength, but I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped PAR off quicker due to the reds, so near the surface(closer to fixture) will have closer to RAY II, while 21 inches will be much closer to fugeray. This of course goes out the window at least slightly if they used a new and improved LED type which is a possibility.

Here is some evidence that points in this direction:
(look at 24")
