Do you like this stand?

We have been phasing out our old wood stands for the Mr. Aqua tanks and currently only have them for the 730, 465, and 305. So we have been trying to find a new style that would be nice and we are trying out different stands. Let me know what you think of this stand. Would you buy it? Any comments, opinions welcome.

It's different for sure.
Would I buy it though... probably not. The skinny hour-glass shape makes the tank look top heavy. Plus, a lot of people like to hide their equipment, and with this stand it would be nearly impossible.

IMHO, it's a nice looking stand, but that little bin underneath being the only storage would kind of limit it to a low tech tank with a HOB filter. There is also nowhere to hide power cords, timers, and other stuff. It looks nice when it's empty, but in real use I think it would look more cluttered and far less attractive.

I personally am partial to enclosed stands also just because I want only my focus to go to the tank and what is in it. I really dont like seeing any equipment in the tank or under it. But some people like to see the equipment. But yeah, thanks for feedback.

Looks nice but not at all practical. We need a closure on the front to hid canister filters, food, ferts, tools, CO2 tank ect. With that open you cant even hid a filter?

Yeah I think I agree with you for my own personal taste.

What if you move the white rack that is under the tank to behind the tank. Make it larger. Then position it up higher so it is behind the tank.

Now a filter could sit behind the tank out of view.

Of course this would not allow the tank to sit close to a wall. room corner placement would be perfect.

Have the ability to remove the shelf would be important.

2nd idea is drop the rack to the bottom, near the floor, but again make it larger.

I have a custom steel tank for my 40. Impossible to hind the canister. I went with the G2 for that reason.

It's a shame that you're phasing out the wood stands. Those were really great looking stands.

Would I buy this one? No, because of the comments already mentioned (e.g. not being able to hide equipment, looks top heavy, etc). In addition, I don't much care for the bends of the metal tubing because it looks like a throwback from the 80's in terms of styling.

I think it would like way better if you kept the metal tubing material and redesigned with a facade of some sort on the front and sides. At least this way, you can still hide your equipment and would give a much cleaner look.

Hopefully you guys haven't committed on a shipping container full of these stands.

probably not. i dont like the idea of not being able to hide my equipment. plus i've got concerns of having equipment on a metal stand. how much noise will it make if i have my filter or a air pump sitting on a metal stand?
