Artificial Bamboo?

Hi all! I'm new to this hobby so I apologize in advance for any silly questions :

I am in the planning stages of my first planted tank. I am really in love with the look of straight "lucky" bamboo stalks, but I've done enough research to understand that they really should not be used in an aquarium setting. So even though I want to have as much living plants in my tank as possible, and most of them will be, I'm considering buying artificial bamboo stalks for the look I want.

I know buying these from craft (or any non-aquarium) stores is risky because of the chemicals they are made/treated with. But I'm having trouble finding any artificial bamboo shoots made for aquariums! Has anyone seen any? If not, is there a way to clean artificial bamboo from a craft store so it is safe for the live plants and fish?

Thank you!!
