read old post have HC ???

I have a 29g with 5 types of moss and two types of Crinum. The 55w full spec light is all I use now. I just ordered HC and do you think it will need Micro and Macro nutrients like Seachem products?
"mecgeorgeneo" old post showed a block of screen which she had ricca growing under it. Would this work for the HC and would it come up thru the holes? It did not look like any one else tried this and she stopped using it. I wondered if I could use semi fine nylon mesh loosly placed over the crevous and place the HC under it. Do you think this would work? I was hoping that without CO2 that the HC would be slower in spreading. I only want it in a couple of crevouses in my pile of rock.
My last plant adventure did not work. I even killed Java fern. That's why I switched to moss.

HC isn't a moss. You don't need to put a screen or nylon mesh over HC. You can plant it. Riccia is different because it is a floating plant and it will never root. HC isn't that easy to grow, you might want to do a little more research before you try it. I am not sure if 55W will be enough for HC. 55/29= 1.89 WPG, which is relatively lower light. You might be able to do it, but it wouldn't be very easy.

I think HC is more like new seedling sprouts. Does it branch off? How would I plant it in a crevous. Does it need soil in the rock crevous? Will I be able to control it? Have 7800k 55w full spec but no full mid day sun effect more blue and I don't like it as well as the full mid day sun effect. What would I need?
I got some flat green algae I did not have before this bulb increase. The BN is now grown and pooping a lot.
