A few pics of the residents ...

I was playing around with the camera and thought I'd show you some of the good (and the bad) in my 180.

The good? ... here's some pics of the "kids" ...

The bad? ... the same pics showing the crap growing on the plants. It's slowly improving, but it got pretty bad.

Anyway, I'm enjoying all of it, the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed the pics.

Keep Smilin'

These are some good lookin' Pearls. As for the algae, are you feeding your plants enough? CO2 and macros?

re: co2 & macros ... I believe so, water first went in on 7/26 and the fish started going in soon after. I think the algae bloom was, at first, just NTS and then grew unruly because of the bioload. Lotsa waterchanges to keep the kids happy and I think we've finally turned the corner. I know the microsword and the crypt in the 2nd pic look really scroungy but there are runners/new growth from the microsword and new leaves on the crypts so I'm hopeful the worst is behind us now.

Time will tell ...

Looking at your profile, I notice you're a Pearl fan too ... Prettiest there is, IMO ...

Heh, I didn't realize that was a brand new tank! With time, it will balance out, and you won't even know what "algae" means.

Your tank looks very interessting

Ive never really been a fan if rainbows, but they looked great in a large group like that. Id like to see the full tank composition with them in it.

EDIT: I just fouind your other thread with the FTS
