Been away for quite some time

Hi Guys,

It seems that once an aquarist, always an aquarist (is that even a word?), i had stepped
away from the hobby in 2008 and recently got the itch, i have decided to go with a low tech planted tank, I just finished setting it up this morning and currently waiting for cloudyness to settle before i take the light measurements and start planning my planting plan.

The tank is a 72 fallon bowfront with a DIY hood.
I am going with LED flood lights from HD after much reading and will see if it works out.

Thoughts?

Welcome back. You are using LED flood light, I won't consider low tech. Kekeke.. Isn't that a bit too much pebbles stone in your tank? It's easier if you have planted your plants before flooding it. What plants do you have in mind for the new setup?

Thanks, I figured it would be easier but it could be some time before I actually plant it. I am currently researching the plants the would work best with this light set up. I also figured it would be easier to remove some of the river rock as it starts taking shape. I have a visual of what I would like the tank to look like. But I won't know until I actually get the plants.
