How to save a plant

I just got a bad shipment of plants in. The stargrass has yellow leaves, many of which have become transparent. Some of the stems are green.

What can I do to save the plant? Can I cut back all of the dead/dying leaves and give the stems a chance to sprout? There are no roots in the bundle.

Plant them anyway and give them good C02, light, nutrients, they will rebound if your tank is up to par.

I know Stargrass will react to insufficient nitrate by becoming transparent and melting suddenly. It does well in a tank that is well-lit, well-fertilized and with CO2 supplementation. If you have those conditions, I would expect it will turn around. Just trim off the worst parts.

I have had better luck floating the plant for a couple of weeks. You will get a lot more new growth that way. In a related note, in my experience stargrass simply does not ship well. Especially when it is hot.
