Fake Root tabs?

Hi,

So i just received an order of root tabs from another member and it is the first time I have ever ordered dry ferts like this so before I jump to any conclusions I hope people here can chime in.

The root tabs look like nothing more than just different color pebbles inside gel caps. I took one apart and they feel exactly like pebbles and are not dissolving in a glass of water either. Is this how dry ferts normally act? Or did i get scammed and buy pebbles inside gel capsules?

Sounds like mine, you don't want it to dissolve right away, that's why you only need to add new ones every few months.

can you take a pic and post it?
If it's Osmocote you can squeeze the pebbles and they will squirt out liquid.

Bing osmocote and see it the pictures look anything like what you have in your gel caps. If you're convinced they're pebbles then boil for a while and or crush them. If they disappear, probably not rocks.

Another way to look at this?
Ferts are really dirt cheap when you buy them in large volumes. Rocks may cost more to get the really small size in a uniform grade. Does not seem like a real good scam to me if it costs more and doesn't look real anyway?
I have a hard time imagining who would spend the time to troll the internet and forums to find a buyer to scam for such a small return.
I'm betting it is real ferts!

Sounds like a different fert, maybe dynamite. Osmocote is small tarnish balls. Dynamite I think(been a while since I've used it) looks like larger irregular rocks, almost like nerds candy.
