HC went tall in low light but can it go back to it's initial size

Title says atmost all. My tank went low tech because of my co2 system that broke and my HC went tAll. Now I'm back in high tech but my hc keep going in height even if I trim it... Do I need to get some new ones?

I wouldn't trust roots alone to bring the plants back. with high light restored it will reach back down with new growth. maybe a partial trim to start. it is going to take at least a month to recover probably

I would say just keep trimming it low. It should spread outwards instead of up eventually given the new conditions.
