What's this growing in my DIY C02/Airstone?

I decided to do a DIY CO2 system and make hard cider in the same process.

Whole foods apple juice + a touch of sugar + mangrove jack cider yeast. Airlocked with the gaseous byproduct leading to my aquarium to add CO2 to my aquarium

I noticed some funny growth yesterday on my air stone used to diffuse the CO2 into my aquarium and now it looks like some of it is growing in the jar. Fermentation has slowed down a bit, but this yeast supposedly does it work fast. Does anyone have any clue what this is?

It's common with DIY co2 that the yeast will generate a slime coating on diffusers, and air stones. Most people will remove the diffuser/air stone and wash it off every so often.

As mentioned, it is a harmless slime that grows on airstones since you are using DIY CO2. You may be able to slow down its growth by adding in a separator bottle.
