What a great looking tank! I hadn't seen your journal before and had fun watching it evolve. You have excellent growth, and I like the new foreground plant (looks like s. repens?).

The geen one is filled with water to clean the glass
The red one is filled with H2O2 to kill some BBA on the equipment.

Sold almost all the glosso.
Moss tank is done with moss balls (Cladophora).
Its hard to take a decent picture of it because the light is too low.
Ill try next time.

new foreground plant
It supposed to be some lobelia sp. we'll see!
Hope it grows well so i can remove some staurogene. (front right)

Your tank has been through some amazing changes and they were all beautiful. What type of stones are in the last pic? Thanks!

Thanks! This one will probably take a while to get started.
The stones are 'lava rock'.

Love the contrast of colors! I really like the bright green of the plants against the color of the lava rock!

So the tank after 20 days of replanting.
Not much has changed.
Havent touched it (yet), everything seems to be doing ok.

I already love the dimmed light approach, i just hope the tank stays healthy as the plant mass increases.

Even less light

Dropped the kH down from 4+ to 1.5.

Code:
pH 6.5
kH 1.5
NO3 >10
PO4 <1
FE 0.25

This is my favorite 'planted' tank setup i had this far.
I actually spend time watching the fish & shrimps and not worrying about plant growth, water changes, algae, ferts or pruning.
Maybe it cannot compete with the looks of a high-tech setup with fast growing stem-plants but i am really really happy with it.

Can anybody tell me why these 'cryptocoryne beckettii' are showing different kind of leaves\growth?
Water parameters are obviously the same and they all have root tabs.
Is it just the difference in light intensity? Or some kind of deficiency?

Shaded crypt.

Direct light.

Random pics.

Added some more lifestock
8x Oto + 8x Choco gourami.
They are shy at the moment, so cant take any good pictures.

Tank.

Oto.

Chocos.

Crypts.
