Tank Reseal Help

Hi guys trying to weigh my options here, between buying a tank or resealing.. I have a 210 gallon tank and found that there is a ding a size of a nickle or slightly larger on the inside of the glass tank right on a bottom seal, being completely afraid of a possible leak I emptied the tank and am now thinking about reinforcing the side with a strip of glass(should work right?), in order to do this properly I would have to reseal it. Because I am inexperienced in these matters I was wondering if anyone on here may be able to help me out. Please chime in if y'all think its a stupid idea. Thanks all.

I say do it! But before setting it up back inside i would fill it up outside leave it for a few days put pressure on the bad spot and see if you can get it to give... Thats what i would do. Thats a lot a water to come down inside. Although a 210 cost a pretty penny, how much would it cost if you had a river running through your house... lol that would suck!

the chip doesn't look that bad, but if you're worried about it, just replace that one pane of glass.

I'm worried about it but removing the pane would mean remaking the entire aquarium, no?

if you're not the diy type, see if someone in your area can give you a hand.

I think your idea of siliconing a piece of glass over the chip and resealing the tank would work fine. That being said, I don't know if you really need to. It's hard to tell from your pic - does the chip extend all the way to the edge of the glass?

I'm happy to give you a hand with resealing/repairs if you need it (have built and resealed . Where in NY are you?
