behave!

Monster Aquarium in Flushing has $2 nerites. he has hundreds! just checked in again. The original ones i bought a month ago are still doing their thing in my tanks. Cant say the same for the two i bought from petco.

Honestly, i feel that the Union Sq Petco and many LFS don't really know how to handle their inverts very well at all.

Default Pacific today

In Pacific today, can't say anything special, still have those apistos that no one know what they are at $8.99 (looks like those blue steel), SAE couple left not cheap $6.99 each, use to be 2 for that price. Ottos are $3.99 each, look good. GBRs look ok, rasboras are $3.99 each.

The Apistogrammas are really, truly A. agassizii. I picked up a reverse trio 3 weeks ago & the dominant male, even at 1 1/2 inches, has colored up beautifully. I was at Pacific last Sunday, & most of the ones left seemed to be males, although it's difficult to sex them when they're so small.

You have a picture of the apistos you bought, because the ones I saw were not Agassizi

Ive also had doubts if they were Agassizi's but they were juvies when first sold. They've been there a few weeks and hopefully showing some coloring by now.

Here's a couple of pics of the Apistogrammas I bought at Pacific. These are the best shots I could get - the fish weren't being very cooperative. Note the male's caudal fin - most likely Apistogramma agassizii, or possibly A. sp. Tefe.

OK, these are not the ones they have now.
The apistos I saw are more on the blue side.
Looks like you got a great deal Mr.

I stopped by Pacific today to pick up a T-5 bulb (I really have to upgrade to LED) & I saw that they still have the agassizii. The only difference between mine & the ones at Pacific is that mine have been living for almost a month in tanin stained water with oak leaf litter for a substrate, & have been eating very well on black worms & BBS.

i'd have to agree with davidz. the apistos from pacific have settled in nicely in my tank and there is a male which appears to have dropped the black horizontal band in my tank and now exhibit a deep blue sheen.

I dont feed livefood but use a variety of beefheart/soft krill/premium tropical flakes/color flakes/golden pearls/algae and carnivore lover pellets for a mixed diet.
