White Growth on Substrate

Hi guys,

I was hoping someone could help me ID this strange white growth on my substrate.

It is in a new tank that has been cycling for about 4 weeks. It is planted with plants and some substrate from an old tank. It also has about 8 RCS in it.

Thanks!!
Sam

Snail eggs? Seems like a lot though. Are they hard or squishy?

I did a 20% water change and now it is gone. So either they all hatched or that killed it off.

Thanks for you help!!
