Tall Hairgrass
Hi all. Just started a 30L tank and have got some Tall Hairgrass in there.
I was under the impression Hairgrass spread but putting out runners although looking at my Tall Hairgrass that I have it appears that new shoots are growing off the tips with what appears to be a root. Do I just cut these off and replant them or are they sending out runners anyway and I just need to snip the top bit off? Thanks for your help. |

They grow new plants at the tips as well as by runners. If you don't keep up with snipping the plants off the tips the hairgrass becomes a real mess. You don't need to plant the clippings but you can if you want too.
