Lighting for land plants?

It's time to bring my plants inside, getting in the 40Fs at night.

Problem is I don't have enough windows.

I'm thinking of using plant grow bulbs in the ceiling light above the plants. Problem is they are about 10ft above the table.

Any other ideas?

what types of plants are they?

Cheapest option would probably to get some clip-on brooders with daylight compact flourescent bulbs, but that's not exactly pretty.

I also need to bring in alot of my plants in a few weeks. Except mine are not the usual indoor plants. Ill be using the retired T8 fixture I had on my tank for my plants + a little bit of indirect light. Wish our winters were warmer.

Remember the old track lighting w/ a plug? That would be perfect. I only see them hardwired now.

You probably don't have to do anything for spider plants.

Most of the tropical houseplants are the sorts of plants that live in the understory of rainforests, and are really tolerant of low light levels (also why they are so common in offices, restaurants, etc.)

Maybe stick it near a window so it can get some sun, but ambient light will probably be enough for it
