Looking for plants on LI

Hello.. I am located in Moriches NY and I'm having a hard time finding quality plants. The 3 LFS's I deal with have little to no plants and or over priced. I've had no luck winning RAOK's and catching sales in time on the forum so I figured maybe I could get some local love.

Is there anyone out there that is willing to sell some plants/trimmings on LI? Mid to low lighting, background (Cabomba caroliniana, Myriophyllum Pinnatum, ROTALA SP. NANJENSHAN, Ludwigia repens etc.). Snails and shrimp are not an issue and my puffers would be thankful. I hope I am not breaking any rules and do apologize in advance.

Thank you.
Wayne

Hm, you're pretty far out on LI. You should hit up gordonrichards.

Local love is possible. I can get whatever you are seeking!
Massapequa here!

I have a trim package I can get over to you. I have a 33 gallon tank at my fathers house that needs to be cut back. Should be able to get there on Monday or Tuesday.

How large is your tank? Do you have any substrate?

Very nice but I wonder if the light setup would be better if you can use 2 4 feet long t8 shop light from Lowes or Homedepot.

http://www.lowes.com/pd_420866-43921...ght&facetInfo=

And $8 for 2 bulbs 65k.

They should give you at least medium low light and cheaper than those clamp on light. Those clamp on light is $9 each. 23w bulb is 2 for $9.

The clamp on fixtures, chain and "S" hooks were free (thanks to my shop), PVC pipe = $2.50, Extension cord to connect all the fixtures = $5 and 4 pack 23w 65k CFL bulbs = $12. Plants are growing fine with root tabs and no problem with algae so far. I have been looking in to Co2 and secured a regulator (thanks to my shop) just in case I need/want to go in that direction. Just trying to feel things out and learn as I go. Thanks for the info.
