Black Diamond in NYC

Hey, I live in Brooklyn and decided to set up a planted tank. After alot of reading on this site and others, I would like to use the Black Diamond sandblasting grit for the substrate. But the nearest Tractor Supply is in Jersey and shipping from online is ridiculous. Anybody know a source near Brooklyn or Long island?

Thanks!

How does this work as a substrate compared to eco-complete or super natural Tahitian moon sand?

I use it in all my planted tanks. Works great and my plants thrive in it. I use root tabs as well.

It's smaller than eco complete and coarser than tahitian moon sand. If you have root tabs and dose the water column, you won't have any problems growing plants. I use it as the substrate for my 5.5 gallon low tech planted shrimp tank.
