Well the suction cups are supposed to be stick on the bottom to prevent rattling. But I replaced it altogether haha I using an air driven tetra filter now. But I was thinking of somehow removing the housing on the inside of the tank, the black piece, and putting a small hob filter on it. For two reasons, one so there is the full one gallons or two gallons its suppos to have and two because the filter is crap and to powerful for a small tank

I've noticed it's really powerful for such a small take no matter how low you have it the water current is crazy. It's just really loud and annoying

You could put a sponge in the back chamber to reduce rattling if the suction cups aren't working correctly. Mine is a pain in the butt as well.

If you need to reduce flow and don't want to get rid of the pump all together you could cut a couple of slits in the tubing to reduce outflow into the main portion of the tank.

I took it out al together and got a tetra air driven filter. I've been thinking about getting the new top fin nano tank. Just like the evolve, except it has more tank room, a removable filter with a spray bar and what looks to be a better light.
