I thought it was Pet Inn USA under new mgmt or something but the address puts it a block above and there's not much store fronts on that block.

Been to Petland in LIC yesterday. Their best-looking fishes were:
- Flying Foxes
- Unknown sp. (labelled as 'algae eaters'. Looked like SAE).
- Green Laser Cories. These were priced at 2.99 and I would have gotten a school of them if I wasn't already overstocked. Very nice looking fishes.

Yeah, their pricing is weird, but I would recommend grabbing a bunch of these if you have the space. They're really nice. With their group of green laser they had a lonely panda, that I wanted to take out of his misery and add to my school. Unfortunately they were asking 6.99 for that one ! I don't think so

The flying foxes and SAE were 2.99 and 2.49, which is not a bad price at all.

Oh really? Shame I don't have anytime to get there anymore. (Today was my free day) I don't think petland knows how to properly care for them and I expect they'll be dead soon.

I'll check again this week but I know they were there for at least 2 weeks. However the temp may have been a tad warmer than I expected- possibly around 80*. I haven't been able to find if that's the optimal temp for them.
That location is generally pretty well maintained.

But they usually place them in a tank with other fish and they don't provide the strong current they need for them to filter feed properly.
