Not to hard. The lights on the ends were super easy to mount. You only need to drill one hole to mount them. The two in the middle require a center support being epoxied in place.

You only need two 23w cfls to get decent growth. I cut back to only using two for a while and continued to see growth, but not as fast.

The black background looks nice. Is it paint or film?

It's black cardboard from Hobby Lobby. It makes a world of difference. They have a dark blue that I also think would look awesome. They keep it by the paint supplies. It's around $4.

Looking nice. I also bought some of the Downoi from petsmart, although mine didn't do so good. I think I will go get some more and plant it in bigger pieces.

Thanks,

Downoi.. There was about 3 clumps in my package. I did not realize it at the time but it was upside down in the package. I planted it upside down. At every point where a stem bent itself right side up a root came out. When each stem started looking like a plantlet I cut it off the clump with the root and planted the little plant with its root. Then they started sending sending out shoots. The more you trim the faster the others would grow.

Awesome! Thank you very much for all the new pics. Your thread has inspired me to give planted tanks a go with my 36 gal bow front rather than investing in a 20L or other new tank.

Tank looks awesome I need to get me some CO2 also. Can you believe that I'm still working on that GH booster from all those months ago?

Thanks.

That Gh booster lasts and lasts.

The idiots at academy busted one of my tanks. I don't have CO2 right now. Need to wait until sat so I can go to Zoomz paintball..
It's been 1 week without CO2 and things still look good. But I'm only using 2 of the 4 lights.

Did you see what happened to the few little dwarf sag. stems that I had. It's taken over half of the tank. I'm fighting to keep it on that half.. Do you need any?

It can be done. Even the dwarf hairgrass is is spreading. slowly... But still sending out runners.

What kind of light do you have? I'm looking to upgrade but I was hoping I would find someone with LEDs on a 36bow.. The 4 fluorescents I have on now are more than enough but I want sunrise and sunsets.
