Ok I think this will be the stupidest question of the day, but I am new to canisters so I really don't know. Xp3 came with like 4 Sponges, and they are all in the bottom basket, is that where they are all supposed to be? I assume yes, but not sure? In the very top basket it has some micro filter pads, and in the other baskets I add bio balls and some crused coral(in bag) use this because of ph problems.

thanks

You want the mechanical filtration (sponges, floss, etc) to occur prior to your biological filtration. This allows the biological media to remain clean, as the water hitting it is technically already mechanically filtered.

Also, you want to have the coarsest mechanical filtration (sponge with the biggest diameter cells) first, so that it captures the largest matter first, and then have the medial progressively become finer as you go up the filter usually ending with floss for the finest particles.
