Fluval Floral Aquatic plant Aquarium kit 7.9 gal

Wanting to start my first planted tank. Thought this might be a descent one to try as it has everything including c02. Just wanting to get some opinions on this tank. How is the light in this thing? Powerful enough for high-light plants? What about the co2 system in it. Reliable? How often would I be changing the cartridge? Sorry for all the Q's. Thanks Nick

You'll eventually want to upgrade from c02 cartridges to an actual c02 tank or DIY.. The light seemed decent...
Dunno about going Hight light with any stock lighting...
i got the fluval eBi on Black Friday last November jus becuz it was Half price... Spent $40 on it luckily and ended up not using anything but the soil an tank

The opinion is yours and for a starter tank it may work... But high lighting idk. I think it's right smack dab perfect in the middle.

I think those eheim aqua style tanks are awesome though! The local aquascapes here has their stock led on the designed tanks and its said that eheims works much better than fluval...

But you have to buy everything else separately.

I loved my Ebi til I sold it.

You can easily pick up a second fixture for about $25-$30 and then you'll be in the realm of high light.

Though, Charrr89 is right about CO2. The included kit just plain sucks.

If it's your first planted tank, it may be a better idea to consider going the easy route with plants that won't require CO2 or tons of fertilizers. That way you could just pick up the Ebi and won't have to worry about the cheap CO2 kit that's included. Could grow tons and tons of plants without going all high-tech.

I recently purchased one of these. Nice bit of kit for someone starting a planted aquarium. Manageable size without being too nano.

The light is good, definitely better than what people typically call low light, but not high light either. As already mentioned you can buy the same light fixture on its own either now or later and double your output (and will look cool).

CO2 outfit is gimmicky at best. I bought the flora outfit anyway since the LFS was clearing these out (said they were discontinued?) and the Flora was cheaper than the EBI.

I second the suggestion to start with a lower tech deployment and graduate up when you get some months or a year of experience in.

For my part this is going to be my first attempt at a dirt tank.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
