Grrrr
I just finished calling five separate welding and gas companies and none of them fill CO2 tanks. One company did tell me to try a large distributor out in Orange, but they only do large commercial orders. Does anyone around South OC know of a place to get my tank filled? Much obliged |

You mean they won't fill YOUR tank.... right. That's why I suggest that people don't buy a co2 tank at a place other than a supply house.. Instead go to a gas supply house and and rent or buy the tank from them. Then they exchange the tank with a full one on the spot, no waiting for refills and no problems finding a place that fills them. Most supply houses have a central filling wharehouse that services multiple retail locations, it's more economically feasible for them to transport exchange tanks than to outfit each location with all the different gases.
A fire extinguisher place or a soda vending wholesaler might be able to fill your tank. Good luck Marcel

I should've elaborated a little bit. None of the places I had called would fill, exchange, or rent CO2 canisters. However, I did eventually find a gas distribution facility that would do exchanges, they're just a bit aways.

Did you call the fire extinguisher shops? That's always where I get mine filled.

I find it very hard to believe that there are no fire extinguisher shops near you. Here in Portland you can't drive more than a few miles without finding one. I just went to www.dexonline.com and searched Mission Viejo for fire extinguisher and came up with 25 listings. Now I'm not sure how close any of them are to you but at least one of them has to be fairly close. If you go to that site you can search by distance and enter your address and find how far they are away from you. Two of the companies are right in Mission Viejo.

There's a place in Costa Mesa off Placentia called Seal's Compressed Gasses, they will fill CO2:
