meanwell LDDs and powersupplies - heat?

Do Meanwell LDDs give out much heat? Is it ok housing them in a closed plastic box or do they need to be ventilated/cooled?

What about the 48V DC power supply? I was thinking of putting it in a small tupperware bin to protect it from any water that might splash in my aquarium cabinet.

Heat probably is not a great issue though w/ power supplies that is iffy.
I personally don't recommend plastic, nor any completely enclosed setting..

Those power supplies are pretty "open" for a reason..

That makes sense. I guess I'll leave the power supply open and contain the driver/controller in a little latch-top box. Maybe I'll build a little shelf into the stand to elevate the power supply and protect it from any accidental spills.

My LDD-1000's at full power get hot. Not crazy hot but still hot. With the PSU it depends on how much load you are pushing. I wouldn't enclose either in anything unless you have active cooling in the enclosure.
