Anybody have Green Shrimp?

Saw some pics of green emerald and dark green neos and thought I'd ask if anybody has them. I want to try some with my blue velvets.

Emerald green and dark green are caridina, not neo.

I used to have some dark greens, but they bred so slooooooooow for me, I eventually gave them to a close friend.

I had a green kind of neo that I was working on courtesy of someone on this forum but my badis managed to skip 1 tank over and before I knew it there was 1 fat female badis and no shrimp left.

so they wouldn't breed with my blue velvets? Do you know of anywhere to get them?

Aquabid had them, but if you post in the wtb section here, you may find a hobbyist here who has them.

Not the caridina, but there are green shrimps that will breed with blue velvet, as long as they are Neos.

I'm bringing in some of these babies in about two months .... It's a Neocaridina.

What kinda of Neo is that randyl? I love how solid looking the shell is!

Only green neo's I know of are green balbuti shrimp. From what I've read/heard they don't cross breed with other neo speices.

Balbuti will not cross with Neos, the one in the picture is yet another one selectively bred from our truly cherry. The same breeder is try to get purple. A lot people have green neos but how green is the question and how stable the colour is.

In my opinion, neos should never be too expensive. If one type is very expensive I would just wait until it gets cheaper.

That is amazing Randy! Mine look very different from that. Love how the color is so solid.

Those are really nice. Those are from Europe, right? I remember seeing those on ShrimpNow a while back.
