Crypt nurii

Can someone tell me the difference between nurii 'Pahang mutated' and the standard nurii. I've tried to determine this by pictures but haven't been able to get a clear understanding.

Also, I purchased some med/small nurii that are currently a bright green with a pinkish spine but no markings on the leaf. I was wondering if this is normal and when might the leaves develop the darker markings.

Pahang is a place in Malasia where nuri was found growing with a “striped “ leaf coloration. Some people have argued that this is in fact a mutation. Some people have argued that it was due to the crypt growing in sunlight. People continue to disagree whether or not it is a mutated variety or just a simple chemical reaction to light or nutrients.

I find my nuri wil grow green when it isn’t being fertilized and more pink when it is receiving more fertilization. I am not sure which nutrients are causing the color change. I think it may have to do with the mg or the calcium but I am not sure.

Think I see it now. So Pahang has stripes similar but lighter than C.cordata 'rosanervig'.

Is your green nurii a bright green like a highlighter or is this just a juvenile coloration?

It is a few shades of green. I just transplanted it and the new growth is now coming darker with pink veining and darker markings. It is still adjusting and some of the old leaves are a bit 'fuzzy'. I am not using co2 so I am doing a modified ei but it is getting npk iron calcium and mag and a little flourish now and again.

All of the new growth is coning in with the pink coloration.
