crazy straw

Has anyone tried using a crazy straw as co2 diffuser? It would mimic the ladder in a way. Think this would work?

Agree with aparker.
Unless you had a large diameter crazy straw and had it set up so that it released one small bubble at a time in the bottom of the straw.
I'd use a lime wood air stone as a diffuser before I tried to rig up a crazy straw. Unless I had some crazy Beetlejuice/evil circuits tank where the straw fit into the theme somehow. Otherwise it would stand out and detract from the tank.

Thanks, it was just a thought.

For DIY CO2, and if you had a very low bubble rate, a couple of bubbles per minute, maybe, it would work, just as the ladder works, which isn't very well. The straw would be open at both ends, so the rising bubbles would pump some water out the top of the straw, releasing the CO2 rich water into the tank. Lots of things work as CO2 diffusers, but only certain things work efficiently, especially for higher bubble rates.
