Depends on the width of your rim. It will fit rims with a 16mm allowance. In our case, ours fit over part of the rim but the screw could not touch base with anything. To accommodate, we had to trim part of the base so the screw would secure on to the lip. So for now, I would say NO unless you you're inclined to make some adjustments.

Here's what we did for our 20 gallon. I have no date on when we will release an official adapter to suit those with rims.

Hello guys,

I'm back to aquariums after 4-5 years... and I bought this light to start a Nano medium-high planted tank.

Can you tell me what size best suits this light? I was going for 2.5 / 3 gallons, however I'm afraid I will have too much light with it.

You should be just fine with that size tank and this light.
