Found Frogs on Long Island. What type are they?

Found these little guys hopping all over the place outside.
They don't seem like toads but what the heck do I know?

There is a small sump behind my house, but there isn't any standing water.

I grabbed 4 of them and checked some environmental websites listing amphibians on Long Island but did not find any frogs that had the same patterns. I realize their pattern may change when they become adults... anyone know what type of frog these are?

Have them in moist coco fiber,, there are a number of small fruit flies in there as well.

Baby American Toads. I raised 4 in a critter keeper this summer, they look like that. Ugly when they grow up IMO.

Thank you kindly, a quick search on google shows they are American toads!
Showed a coworker who will be getting a group of 8 for her garden!
She had a toad that lived in her backyard for a while, but it went missing one year after her neighbors sprayed for insects.

I saved one of those from my pool this morning, unfortunately his friend did not make it.

Unfortunate about that :^(

The toads are enjoying my coworkers backyard! She even provided them a small water area, but with rocks on top so they don't drown. Looking forward to what happens when they get bigger, as she is always in the garden and the toads are bound to pop out once in a while!

I always have to be careful if I walk my dog after sundown, they all end up in the road.

Indeed, they come up for the warmth, there are a couple lakes in the area where you can find dozens at a time.
