Wouldn't you know it. I just turned my back for about three months, doing regular water changes once a week, and that demon algae has reared its ugly head. Algae all over my plants and the siamensis are struggling to keep up.

When I get the new lights, I am also getting some new stem plants to give this beast a run for its money.

WESTLEY
... tr ... oooo .... luv...

Everybody stares at Westley lying there on the bench.

INIGO
True love. You heard him. You could not ask for a more noble cause than that.

MIRACLE MAX
Sonny, true love is the greatest thing in the world. Except for a nice MLT, a mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They're so perky, I love that. But that's not what he said. He distinctly said "rex." And, as we all know, "rex" means "to grow." So he was probably planting tanks, and he OD'd on plantex--

Don't get paranoid Rex, we all still think your great, we at some of us do.

Now for the serious stuff, the algae is that dark green stuff, a little of the light green and some of the red algae. Not serious buildup but enough to be annoying.

What do you think?

Well I've never had red algae. And the other color based descriptions leave a lot of room for guessing what type of algae you have. But as always keep the nutrient levels in balance you have have pretty much won the algae war.
