The Power of Current!

So I got my flexible strip and thought I would add it to my 6 gallon seeing how it only had an Up Aqua light (which is low-medium par). Wow, I can't believe how much power this little strip has! Luckily I got it on video

Where's all the cars honking and people talking and subways screeching? Oh wait, that's my home in NYC...

Great video and sound dude!

Cool vid!

I would love to know PAR data for this strip light. I have to think it's not as high as their normal Sat + light, but I'd say it's very safe to assume it's better than the cheapo LED RGB strip lights. Has anybody heard if Current has released any data on this?

I emailed them a while back about the PAR. I was told that they are half the PAR of the satellite+ fixture.

Yeah it isn't a huge PAR monster but this + my UpAqua LED gives me some nice pearling. But it's more for my lunar phase/nightlight (seeing how it's next to my bed haha)

That must've been before we took the measurements. These LEDs put out little to no par anything past 12" I wouldn't recommend taking it into account.

Thanks for the info! That's what I figured the case would be. So they are great for adding color depth and effects, but not for being the primary light source.
