Well just got my first fluval tank I like it so far . Just got set up tonight with a few rocks from my old setup . Substrate is just black gravel , will be adding a piece of driftwood when it gets here . Plan on some moss on the driftwood also a java fern on it to, maybe some riccia on stone well see once the driftwood is in the tank . Here are a few pics rocks might stay might not , not sure yet

Lots of great scapes start with humble beginnings, and this is no exception! Do you have a vision for your aquascape?

I wouldn't recommend riccia as a carpet plant, it gets really messy and can be a PITA to clean up once you trim it. But if you plan on keeping it, no fertilization is necessary, just use excel as you do now.

Is this tank 5g? It looks like an iguami style scape. Looks nice reflecting off the glass table.
