Hello everyone,
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I was wondering if anyone has a formula for making a calibration solution. Specifically the 10.01 Solution. See tonight I purchased a Milwaukee PH51 Handheld tester and it came with the 4.01 and 7.01 calibration solution. The fish store I bought it from is almost 40 miles from my home and I had gotten halfway home tonight before inspecting the package to find out it was not included, despite the packaging listing that it should be there. Anyway since it is so far away, I hate to have to go all the way back just to get this solution, especially if I could just make it. Also I might be willing to buy it from a local lfs, but I think A.) they may not have it. and B.) It is like $20 if they do.

Lighting: 2x27 Watt 6500k P.C. Lights of America Outdoor Fixtures. 2x 20 Watt N.O. Flor. w/ Sylvania Gro Bulbs (9350k I think). Both are retrofited into a diy 12" tall canopy, with a 4" Diameter Clip on fan facing the opening in the back to circulate the excessive heat from the lighting. Filtration: Tetra Tech 150 (modified to make very little disturbance. Aquarium Systems Mini-jet for more circulation. |

I would recommend you call Milwaukee and talk to their technical support person. You can calibrate it with only the low end solution. They only make two, not three solutions, as far as I know. But call them up, they will explain it to you. $20??? I sell them for $8.

They do make all 3 (4, 7, and 10)
If I am reading your post correctly you say you got the 7 and the 4 but not the 10? If so that is all you need I think (it's all you need for the Milwaukee SMS-122 unit)

Buffer solutions are pretty standard. I cannot think of why it has to be milwaukee brand. ph 4,7 and 10 are the most common. I actually just came from the stock room and got some pH 4 and 7

It does not matter the brand name as long as it's a clean buffer solution.
If you do want brand name, AquariumPlants.com carries them by the box. 25 packets for $14.99. You can also order boxes of packets from online chemical supply shops.
