emmersed Java fern


Is it possible to grow java fern emmersed? Maybe in a HOB filter...

Yes. You can tie the rhizome to a piece of foam or something and put it where you want. Emersed growth is just as nice, if not nicer.

+1. Not only is it nicer, but they'll grow a pot more quickly.

Yup, This is how I keep my Java fern immersed.. in a glass casserole with water in it and tied it on rocks.

it was in submersed form before, but then they will dried out.. give it sometimes untill they sending a new emersed shots then you can trim the submersed leaves as they will rot away
