I'm going on a 6 day trip

So I have done some reading on the subject on leaving my tanks alone for 6 days with no care. Over fees for days leading up to the trip and such. Everything is on timers I don't use co2. But my question is I'm thinking about pulling out all my heaters out of my tanks for the duration of my trip. All my tanks are in my living room And I will be leaving a window ac going while I'm away but leaving the heaters worries me. Anyone one have any thoughts or experience on the matter?

During medical school i had to do away rotations for up to a month at a time. I'd have a couple friends stop by every 7-10 days to check on the fish feeders and toss in a dose of ferts every once in a while, but that was it.

In the summer, yeah i'd leave the A/c running, and while my heaters were plugged in the reality is that they never came on, and they also hooked up to a back up heater controller in the event that it decided to go nuts.

I left my CO2 on, all the lights, CO2, airstone for pm, etc, were all on timers. I did a big water change before i left, and when i got home. I had a lot of rainbow fish in the tank too.

Everything was fine. I often had plants do better being left a lone for a bit, never lost any fish etc. I will say that the tank was an absolute jungle when I used to get back, however, a good few hours hacking away and it was back to its usual self.

Ok awesome. And yeah my heaters haven't been kicking on due to the heat but I'm pulling them anyways just so I don't have any risk of frying anything. 6 days isn't so long anyways. Thanks

Feed heavy a few days prior, do a big waterchange right before you leave and they should be good. Not having heaters and the tank running slightly colder will help slow down the metabolism as well so they don't get as hungry.

As mentioned, it appears to be a single stage, dual gauge regulator. It can be used for our purposes if you swap out the CGA nipple and nut.
