I'd love to get this, but $11 shipping for a magazine? Seems pretty extreme. Other than that, I'd get it in a heartbeat.

Hello from Germany,

if you read the article of Monika Pöhler,Roland Lück and some others i doubt that it is just "basical" stuff. Also is it possible to post a link with the pics of "Nick"i really would like to look at his work.Attached Volume II coming out in September. in the magazine 128 pages and no advertising.

Cheers

@Lexinverts
they share a lot of info otherwise i would not publish them ...this is the deal !
Also i do it with the Asian Volumes now...in 2 weeks i will fly to Taiwan do to some interviews there..i know the asians well and they are much more "closed"when it comes to share knowledge. I have a lot of people that want to be in the magazine ( 50 from Europe) and already a lot of asians but the deal is they need to share info and answer the questions that i ask...otherwise no story.
The magazine is sold in 30 countries and in the first week already 1500 sold..so i guess the people like it.

Euro magazines are always more expensive, and for what it is worth they are printed on much better stock usually. I read Performance VW (euro rag) and just picking up the much larger (and more content) magazine you can tell compared to say, Eurotuner or Hot VW's (which are US rags). There are also additional shipping costs with smaller shipments to consider.

@Produceguy

well,about the shipping cost.
I decided to ask 9,95 Euros for the mag no matter what country. If i buy a US Mag in germany it costs 6–7 Euros more..and same happens if i buy a german mag. in the US.The shipping costs for the different countries are different. just shipping to the US costs a fortune ( the mag weigh nearly 500 grams) so if i ship 100 pcs to the US that is already nearly 300 $ with the normal air mail...
a book / mag like this cost usually 19,95 Euro ..thats about 26 $ but i did not want that...if you have me somebody that ships more cheap to the US i am more then happy to check that.
Cheers
Chris

Well, I ship internationally all the time and can tell you $11 shipping, even for a magazine is quite reasonable. I doubt anyone is out to dupe anybody on shipping, not at that cost. I know I will be buying because there is NOTHING in the states like it. Worth the price to me.

Well, from personal experience I have shipped a westmoreland core support to Germany from a MK2 VW (US guys make their cars look German, German guys make their cars look US spec, dont ask) and that part is 4 feet wide, 2 feet tall and weighs over 30 lbs because it is solid metal. Cost me about 40 bucks and was in their hands within 5 days.

Shipping a German core support to the US is usually 3x that much. What is being asked is very fair honestly.

Jaime,thanx for the link. The pics are good. ;-) I work a bit different. Nick uses a lot more dept then me. I like when the background is more "unsharp. The shrimp /fish (or snail) need to be in the focus..all other stuff is not important. i use a lot more light then nick..and then it gets difficult with overlighting esp. with the while of the PRL or PBL etc

You should send Ron a PM here or email him. Shouldn't cost more than $5 to ship it Priority or even less with Media Mail.

His system likely just isn't updated, as he doesn't have them in-hand yet.

I have the Caridinae magazine, but it is all in German. The Caridinae is glossy magazine and has many articles on both shrimps and crayfish. I am getting mine translated so I can show my shrimp club members.
