Haha I don't remember. Both my mini m's got really gross before moving back to school. The other one is getting a nice dhg carpet going but I'm just going to focus in this one for now.

Ya I think some red would look nice. I'm aiming for a more bushy plant to cover the top of the rock on the left and then maybe something smaller (dhg?) to help lead the eye down the rock into the lawn. Not sure though open to suggestions forever.

I think it would be super cool if I can get the hc to look like it's swooping from the foreground into the back of the large rock so it looks like a little path.

Inspiration for this tank:

Red and bushy? Check out alternanthera reineckii mini. I just got some recently and love it. I bought it from a member here in the for sale area. Very cool plant.

It's the plant in the front lower left here:

The alternanthera reineckii mini looks really nice, AnotherHobby, but I think I could use something with a little more height.

I was thinkin maybe some rotundifolia.

I would even be cool with more plants. All about dat texture.

Definitely a possibility. I think I'm gonna let fully it carpet for now which won't take long at all and then hopefully by then I'll have some more ideas.

Another option is Ludwigia sp. Red. That's the taller red plant in the pic, and there are some shorter stems below it. It's less red than normal because much of it was grown under low light.

Rotala butterfly would look great. I got some in my newest tank and it adds a lot of color to an otherwise green scape.
