46 Gallon Bow Front Dutch Style

I've finally decided on a style... I'm really liking the various Dutch tanks I've seen.....
This is the beginning..a decision! !!!!!

Any early advice is welcome

Good choice! My 46g bow is currently a dutch work-in-progress for me. The biggest hurdle is getting the layout down, and choosing the tons of plant species you'll need! Mine started with just a few, not intended to be a dutch tank (I wanted to do Iwagumi but a 46g bow is a weird footprint/too tall for that). Then the addiction kicked in and you put the mailman to work with all the plants you'll be ordering off of this forum :p

As for some tips - if your 46g bow is anything like mine, lighting is a potential issue. Not sure what you have, but I had to upgrade mine because I couldn't grow anything at the substrate! I started off with a 1x39W T5HO from Catalina, and now have 3x39W T5HO from the same company. Because the tank is so tall, you'll need more light to penetrate to the bottom.

Anyway, good luck and I can't wait to see your tank progress!
