Snail ID


What kind of snail is this?

It's a bad picture but the best one I have. It's a brown shell with I believe some black in it.

I can't ID it from the pic, can you get a better shot of it. Need to see the shell clearly at the very least.

im unfamiliar with bladder snails, are they good? bad? whats the story? do they clean so to say?

Asking if they are good will get you a range of answers. I personally love all snails that don't eat plants. I tend to overfeed, they clean up the mess and my population explodes, but I'm okay with that. The extra snails I get go to feed my assassin snails, so in my opinion I like bladder/pond/trumpet snails. Others hate them because they can overwhelm a tank if you aren't careful.

No they won't eat plants, unless the plant is unhealthy, and yes they help clean up.
