TDS and GH question

Is there a relevance between TDS and Gh. My tap water reads very low TDS and Gh, so I purchased some gh booster from Greenleaf Aquariums. If I add this to my water to get a target range for TDS, will I have to worry about GH being to low. Is that a good booster to use or did I just waste my money on it, I noticed that it does not completely dissolve in the water. Can anybody give me a good link to where I can purchase a good one that is not to high in price. Would adding that mineral rock help.

TDS is the amount of total dissolved solids in your tank. So yes with an increase in anything (including GH), you'll increase TDS as well

The one from GLA is mainly for plants and has a lot of uncessary minerals for shrimp.

You can use Salty Shrimp GH+ to get to your target TDS. Reaching target TDS is a good way but it'll depend on your shrimp as well

When searching the forum I found a post that said you could use this Nutrifun African Cichlid conditioner to raise the gh of the tank. But it is discontinued so would another type of this produce work. I can not find anything on the chemical makeup of the Nutrifun product.

I use GH+ from TPT member Niclog. It works great, and my shrimp are doing much better now that I use it.

That is what I use right now. But you can use what I mentioned before (SaltyShriml GH+) and have the same results.

I just found API African Mineral salts. The bottle says that it contains minerals and trace elements. The label says it will increase the gh and kh. So could I use that.

I am trying to find a product locally so that it is easier for me to purchase later on, that would do the same thing as the salty shrimp stuff.
