They really are, thanks so much!

I feed them baby brine I hatch right now. I didn't wanna mess with culturing worms. I'd like to convert them to frozen though. That way if I ever want to go on vacation I don't have to worry about them starving.

Yeah you're right. Bring them down to frozen stuff. I did it to my dario hysginon over a period of 10 days. And now they are perfectly eating frozen blood worms and brine shrimps. Much less hassle.

Cute fish! ^.^ They look so spry and healthy!

Your Fluval makes me want to start up another d. Dario tank sooo bad! My heart is set on the Elassoma for now, though. I guess I'll just have to get another tank

So they took on quiet quickly for you Sumer? Nice, I'll get some & try it out. Which did they prefer, the brine or blood worms?
Yout fish are stunning btw

Thanks Tankoholic! I can't wait to see you get your Elassoma, that way maybe my urge for them won't be as bad, lol. Very neat fishies.
Next on my to-do list is a rescape of the Flora & making my make-shift shrimp tank nicer. I ended up falling in love with my PFR's and wanna keep them on their own. much more interesting to watch. Thinking I'll just grab a few more amano's for the badis tank.
Also, I'd love a rack!
So ya, a while down the road before I can do another tank.

Got a bit off topic, my bad. I did take a video feeding the badis the other day. Linked below & in the 1st post

Can this fish be kept in a community tank? I have a 37 gallon tall. It has NOT fish in it, right now...But I'd hate to limit a tank that big to one species.

Found out an LFS in Tampa has them.

They can do just fine in a community, though act the most like themselves when kept in a speices only tank. They do act agressive at times, but only between their own kind. And only to assert the "pecking order" and to maintain territory. They won't pay your other fish attention.
If you do go community it's best to house them with small, peaceful nano fish. Good examples of suitable tank mates are Chili Rasborasa, Cestial pearl danios, Emerald Dwarf Rasbora. Basically other fish that like the tank like they do. Which is heavily planted.

Really fun fish to watch, if you give them a try I know you won't be let down :

Lucky you to find em locally, even luckier if you luck out and they have females! I mail ordered mine, twice... all boys :P
Oh they do eat live food, tiny live food. They're almost always wild caught. But I hear they are pretty easy to convert to frozen. I'll be working on that soon myself.
