Seeding material?

Hi everyone!

Does anyone have seeded material from a healthy tank they could spare to help me get my 40B and a 10-gallon QT cycled faster? I have a canister running on the 40B and a sponge filter for the QT.

As in.... some sponge media from one of my established tank filters?

If that's what you're looking for and haven't found any by now let me know?

Established good bacteria starts dying within half hour if not enough food source. So unless its direct delivery I'm not sure how well off you would be compared to just buying some API bacteria starter, or tetra even.

yeah, I was looking for something local for direct pick-up after learning it wouldnt survive shipping (due to lack of oxygen, though. BB can evidently survive longer without food).

thanks for the offer, Stella Blue, but my tank just finished a natural fishless cycle last week so I should be good now. it just took a bit longer and a bit more patience.
