The first bites are pretty small, so hopefully they are getting some of it. How often are you feeding?

Infusoria 2-3 times a day and first bites once. I'm watching the water quality to see if I can feed the first bites more often.

Having snails in the tank to eat the leftovers could help. This is where you would welcome snails and the would bring protozoans along to feed the fry. A ball of moss will help grow the protozoans in the tank too.

Very nice job - post pics when they're big enough.

Pictures!!! I apologize for my lack of talent with a camera. It also didn't help that the female kept hiding every time I pulled out the camera.
I had a really tough time with the fry because they are just so fast, but you get the general idea. They look like tiny tadpoles.

mistergreen, thanks for the advice. I added a Nerite to the fry tank. Think they're ready for microworms, or not yet?

I know it's been a while, but here are the two fish I kept from this spawn:

Female 1

Female 2

Female 2 looks a lot like her mom and female 1 looks like her dad. Since female 2 has the pronounced horizontal stripe I like so much, I'm going to try and breed her first. Here's the potential mate:

I posted here about their size difference. Hopefully, it won't be a problem. If it is, I'll just try a different male. Wish me luck!
