Never had BNPs....are the small ones suitable for planted tanks? How fast do they grow? Will they eat mosses and stemmed plants?

the albino BN Pleco only get up to around 3 inches. they will graze on top of mosses and stemmed plants, but are really sucking them for the algae and not eating the actual mosses and plants. you might get a few leaves broken off though, since the pleco doesn't consider if it's too big - i've seen mine try to balance on a pygmy chain sword leaf!

Thanks guys. I might just pick these up just to add something new. I don't really have algae in my tank so will probably have to supplement with veggies.

Just Like Jahn and JoraaN said, bushynoses stay small and will not bother your plants or any other fish you keep with them. I keep CPD`s, pygmy cories, guppies and cherry shrimp with my BN`s with no problems, They don`t even bother the shrimplets. Here`s a short video of some of my super reds:

And a pic of some of my blue eyed albinos munching on green beans

PM me your zip and how many reds you want and I can get you a price on shipping. I can ship priority as long as the weather does not get too hot.

I just picked up 4 of the albino plecos. He's got multiple pleco breeding tanks set up with tons of fry all over the place. If you are looking for plecos I would DEFINITELY buy from him.

quick pic as I just got home...

All the plecos made it through the night, even the ones that I dropped into my high tech tank with tons of co2. The one thing that I noticed about the albinos is that the inside of their bellies are green. I guess that's the hue from the dust algae they must be eating (I barely have any algae visible to the eye so they must be finding it somewhere). They are gliding around like little vacuums when the lights are off but when the tank is heavily lit they just freeze in one spot. Hopefully the high light does not stress them out.

Quick video of the sole BNP that I put in my moss grow out tank:
