Need some advice on shipping live stuff

Hello,
I Have recently downgraded the number of tanks I own. Unexpected events such as the basement flooding, not from fish tanks, but rain, and the basement flooding not from rain but uh yeah fishtanks.
I am limited to just 3 aquariums now. 2 are saltwater. One is a reef, the other has a Moray Eel.The only freshwater tank I will have is a planted shrimp tank.
So I broke down and sold most of my tanks. I have re-homed most of the fish I can't keep. But I can't seem to find a local home for my collection of Assassin snails. They will kill the desired snails in my shrimp tank, and I have heard they can snag a shrimp or two as well.
I know people sell these via mail, but how does one ship snails?
(insert bad snail mail pun here)I was hoping to sell them to a local store for credit, but there doesn't seem to be any demand for them in my area. It seems I am going to have to send them somewhere far away, but I have never sent a living thing by mail, so I have no idea how to go about this. Plants I would think would be ok in a plastic bag with a bit of water, but snails?
If anyone that has successfully shipped snails has some advice I would be grateful. THIS IS NOT AN ATTEMPT to sell on the wrong part of the forum, I just don't want to put them up for sale until I know how and if I can ship.

just ship in a bag with plenty air in it, in a box. You have to post within 2-3 days but im sure they will be fine.make sure to write 'caution: Live fish' or something like that. The fish i get delivered have a heat pack but i wouldnt bother for snails. You wont get much for them and I doubt anybody is willing to pay postage for some assasin snails so I recomend finding a site (we have gumtree in uk) where you can can just give them away locally.

if there is a hardship, worries shipping live fishes, think of local petshop whether they can take them for future store credits.
